Computer manufacturer System76 just released the newest models of their Lemur Ultra and Pangolin Performance laptops running Ubuntu.

14.1″ Lemur Ultra
The ultra portable, ultra powerful 14.1″ Lemur Ultra, starts out at $689 for the base configuration. The default configuration features a 14.1″ 720p high definition LED backlit display, with a resolution of 1366 x 768; Intel HD Graphics 3000; the Intel i5-2450M CPU clocked at 2.5Ghz; 4 GB DDR3 SDRAM at 1600MHz; and a 500GB HDD spinning at 7200 RPM. The Lemur Ultra is great for people who want a nice, lightweight, portable laptop to grab on the go.

Of course, the prices stated above are for the base configurations. Price will go up if you choose to up the CPU, add more ram, splurge for a SSD, etc. Both laptops ship Ubuntu 11.10 64-bit installed by default but I’m sure once Ubuntu 12.04 is released, it will ship with that.
