Asus To Produce Nexus Tablet?

  • There was been speculation from Google’s Chairman and former CEO Eric Schmidt, that Google will be releasing a flagship tablet device. Rumors are swirling over at AndroidAndMe that Google has partnered with ASUS to release said tablet.  According to Android and Me, they [Android and Me] spoke with 2 reliable industry sources at Mobile World Congress, and according to them, Asus will be releasing a tablet, which will include a quad-core Tegra 3 processor, ship with stock Android 4.x Ice Cream Sandwich, and cost only $199.

I myself will be taking this rumor with a grain of salt until I hear official word from Google themselves.  The rumor does sound very enticing though…quad core, stock Android, and only $199.  That sounds like a win to me.  I am surprised Samsung wasn’t chosen as the manufacturer seeing as they did the Galaxy Nexus.  Either way, where can I buy?
