The Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7, announced back at CES 2012, has been given a release date of March 1 by Verizon Wireless. It will be available at Verizon Wireless stores and online at www.verizonwireless.com for $499.99*, with a new two-year customer agreement.
To refresh your memory, the Galaxy Tab 7.7 is the next tablet joining Samsung’s Galaxy Tab line. Like the name implies, the Galaxy Tab 7.7 is a 7.7″ Android tablet with a full HD (1280×800 pixel resolution) Super AMOLED Plus display. It is powered by a 1.4 GHz dual-core processor and will run Android 3.2 Honeycomb out of the box. Unlike previous Galaxy Tab models, the Galaxy Tab 7.7 will not only have 16 GB on-board storage, but will also have support for up to 32 GB with an additional microSD card. Finally, the Galaxy Tab 7.7 features a 3.2MP rear-facing camera with LED flash, capable of full 720p recording and 1080p playback (1080p playback through HDMI dock or adapter), and a 2MP front-facing camera for video chat.
